The Ruling on the Hadith: “Seeking Knowledge Is an Obligation on Every Muslim”

Question:
Is the hadith that the Muslim woman is included in the hadith?

Answer:
No, the well-known version is only, and most scholars have graded the hadith as weak, but some scholars have graded it as authentic, and it is indeed so, for it has many chains that raise it to the level of hasan (good), but it is on every Muslim; it is obligatory on every Muslim.
And the meaning is: if it is on a Muslim, then the Muslim woman is included; because what is obligatory on this one is obligatory on this one—as mentioned before—the rulings between them are established, so what is obligatory on the Muslim is obligatory on the Muslim woman, and what is obligatory on her is obligatory on the Muslim, except for what the evidence specifies for one of them.

Question: I am one of the students at the intermediate college in Riyadh. There is one of the brother teachers who shaves his beard, wears trousers and a shirt, and it is observed in his prayer; where he prostrates on the tips of his fingers, and erects his feet in the sitting, and he always tries to lead the worshippers in the college mosque, knowing that behind him is someone more deserving of knowledge and character. We have advised him several times, but to no avail, so we contacted the head of the Islamic Studies department at the college, and explained the situation to him, but to no avail. And on last Tuesday, the aforementioned led the worshippers in the Zuhr prayer, and due to his feeling of the worshippers' dissatisfaction with him; he stood after the prayer to speak and remind, so he began to stumble in the hadiths, until he said: a person advances to lead the prayer with a beard, or without a beard, for the beard is only a recommended practice. After this statement, we were forced to cut off his speech, force him to sit, and not continue; which caused a commotion in the mosque. We request that the necessary action be taken to stop him, and others, at their limit, and may Allah reward you with good?

Answer: Write to us a letter other than this, clarifying the school and the person, so that the issue can be addressed, as this is vague.

Question: We request from your Eminence that you send someone from your side to the Medical Services of the National Guard in the General Department, King Fahd Hospital, and the Medical Services of the General Security, so that your Eminence may see what contradicts the texts of the Noble Qur'an and the Pure Sunnah, may Allah preserve you, amen?

Answer: We ask Allah for guidance for everyone, it will be observed, if Allah wills, it will be observed, it will be observed.
