Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
It is well known that it is prescribed for the mu'adhdhin to turn to the right and to the left when he says: "Hayya 'ala al-salah" and "Hayya 'ala al-falah"; so that his voice reaches as far as it can. Now, with the existence of loudspeakers, is it prescribed for him to turn? If he turns, he would be farther from the microphone?

Answer:
The turning has a wisdom, to his right and to his left; so that he is heard in the northern and southern directions. As for after the existence of the loudspeaker; there is no need for turning. If the turning were beneficial, it would not be contrary, but it is not beneficial; it may disrupt the sound.

The intended meaning : That he should face [the direction] and call out, and there is no need for turning; since the purpose is the conveyance of the message, and the conveyance is more beneficial and more complete by facing [the direction].
