It is only upon you to make things clear. The believer, the scholar, and the student of knowledge are required to make things clear and call people to Allah, and to guide and direct them. As for whether the one who is called accepts, is pleased, and is guided, that is up to Allah. Allah the Exalted says: [al-Baqarah:272], and He said: [al-Qasas:56], addressing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): [al-Qasas:56].
Therefore, the callers to Allah are responsible for conveying the message, making it clear, and giving advice. Allah guides whom He wills. If you call them to good, to the oneness of Allah, faith, and the Sunnah, and to abandoning religious innovations, and they do not respond, then cut off ties with them. Do not be their companion. Cut off ties with them and boycott them. Do not invite them to your home, and do not accept their invitations until they abandon the falsehood they are upon. Because if you associate with them, invite them, and accept their invitations, you will be displaying approval of their actions.
So do not approve of their actions. However, continue with the advice, the calling, and the guidance. Send someone you see as capable to them, perhaps he will call them to Allah, and perhaps they will respond.
