Clarifying Al-Albani's statement regarding the grading of the hadith of Asma' concerning uncovering the face

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Everyone knows that Shaykh Nasir al-Din al-Albani is one of the great scholars of hadith and narrators. Did the defects that weaken the hadith of Asma' escape his notice? What is his argument for permitting the uncovering of the face and hands? We ask for your guidance.

Answer:
Shaykh Nasir al-Din al-Albani is one of our known brothers, and his virtue and knowledge are well-known. However, like other scholars, he has mistakes and errors that the people of knowledge are aware of. This is one of his mistakes and errors in this hadith, and in other matters, indeed even in the issue of hijab itself.
His statement that it is permissible to uncover the face is an error on his part, just as those greater than him have erred. One should not assume that so-and-so or so-and-so is infallible. Al-Shafi'i has errors, Malik has errors, and Ahmad ibn Hanbal has errors greater than his, as do Abu Hanifa and other scholars of knowledge.
Each person has a limited number of issues in which he erred, where the truth was hidden from him, either because the hadith did not reach him, or it reached him through a weak chain, or for other reasons. Every scholar has errors, and it is sufficient nobility for a person that his faults are counted. No one is free from errors.
