The ruling on slaughtering at the grave of a deceased person after his burial as charity for him

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the ruling on one who slaughters animals at the grave of a deceased person after his burial as charity for his soul?

Answer:
This is reprehensible and not permissible. In the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, they called it "aqar." They would stop by it when they passed by, and if he was a generous man, they would slaughter at his grave. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There is no slaughtering (at the grave) in Islamلا عقر في الإسلام
Sunan Abi Dawud 3222Sahih (Al-Albani)
And likewise, if they slaughter at his grave intending charity, this is not permissible. This is a religious innovation, reprehensible.
