The questioner : In Ramadan, I pray the obligatory prayer in the mosque, then he returns to follow the prayer from the radio, the tarawih prayer, and he prays with them and makes du'a with them, feeling as if he is with them. He says: And sometimes I cry with them. Is this tarawih prayer permissible, knowing that I pray the obligatory prayer in my mosque in my country?
The Shaykh : This is not permissible, and it is not accepted from him, due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih Muslim 1718b.
And congregational prayer requires that the ma'mum shares the imam's location. If the mosque becomes crowded and the rows extend until they go out into the market, there is no harm. But for a person to pray in his house on the radio or on television with the congregation, this is invalid, and the prayer is not valid.
But this man who did what he did while ignorant, I hope that Allah the Exalted will record reward for him for his intention.

He who did any act for which there is no sanction from our behalf, that is to be rejected.
