Is the hadith (Zamzam water is for what it is drunk for) general for anyone who drinks Zamzam water in any place, or is it specific to those who drink it in al-Masjid al-Haram?

The questioner : The hadith:
The water of Zamzam is for whatever it is drunk for. ماء زمزم لِمَا شُرِبَ له
Sunan Ibn Majah 3062Hasan (Darussalam)
.

The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner :
The water of Zamzam is for whatever it is drunk for. ماء زمزم لِمَا شُرِبَ له
Sunan Ibn Majah 3062Hasan (Darussalam)
; is it general or restricted to the area of the House?

The Shaykh : I did not understand much of what you are saying, unfortunately.

The questioner : The hadith:
The water of Zamzam is for whatever it is drunk for. ماء زمزم لِمَا شُرِبَ له
Sunan Ibn Majah 3062Hasan (Darussalam)
.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Is it a condition that one be at Zamzam water, or is it for the one who takes it with him...?

The Shaykh : What I understand is that there, there are those who make the journey to al-Masjid al-Haram for Hajj or 'Umrah, and that is where the source of this hadith is. As for it being transported by the efforts of others, and a pleasant sip coming to you which you drink and intend that Allah will teach you or that Allah will cure you or something similar, I do not believe the hadith has this broad meaning. For example, are they equal, the one who made the journey to al-Masjid al-Haram for Hajj and 'Umrah, and stood in that place, and drank and called upon Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), and the one who did not perform Hajj and will not perform Hajj and drank this water? You will say, with these exaggerations, you will surely say with me: No, they are not equal, for example. But let us... after a little while we will find that the correct statement is to say: Zamzam water is for what it is drunk for there. Now, perhaps you remember with me the story of Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) who lived for forty days, or how many? And he did not eat any food except this water, so this water would satisfy him. Do you think any person in any other country, if jars of Zamzam water were brought to him, could live on this water in his country, not eating or being fed or eating anything? No, the blessing, my brother, is there, meaning the true, complete blessing is only there. So if it is transported, its transportation is permissible, because that was reported in the Sunnah, but this blessing and this healing is as it came in the hadith:
A cure for sickness and food for hunger شفاء سُقم وطعام طُعم
, yes, that is there, that is what we see, and Allah knows best.
