Continuation of the discussion on encouraging students to sit close to one another and to their shaykh in the circle of knowledge, and explaining that the closeness of bodies indicates the closeness of hearts.

The Shaykh : The point of all this is that the Messenger (peace be upon him) commanded us to rectify our outward appearances. Part of this rectification is that when a teacher or preacher sits to teach, people should not be far from him; rather, they should be close to him, because this appearance indicates the strong bond between this teacher, who imparts beneficial knowledge to them, if Allah wills, and these listeners to his speech. Therefore, take this as a rule: do not sit in large circles in the mosques. When one of you sits to teach and benefit his brothers, he should urge them to come close to him so that they are near, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The similitude of believers in regard to mutual love, affection, fellow-feeling is that of one body مثل المؤمنين في تواددهم وتراحمهم كمثل الجسد الواحد
Sahih Muslim 2586a
to the end of the hadith.
The believers are like a building they support one another. والمؤمن للمؤمن كالبنيان يشدُّ بعضه بعضًا
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2560Sahih (Darussalam)
