Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is the ruling on performing wudu' in the bathroom?

Answer:
There is no harm; (it is valid) if one performs wudu' in the bathroom, there is nothing wrong with it. However, when he is finished, he should leave the bathroom and recite the tashahhud while outside the bathroom. He should say the name of Allah when performing wudu'; there is nothing wrong with saying the name of Allah at the beginning of wudu', because some scholars have made it obligatory along with the dhikr, so it is strongly emphasized. He should say the name of Allah when performing wudu', and the dislike is removed due to the strong emphasis on saying the name of Allah. And when he leaves and exits the bathroom, he recites the tashahhud after the wudu', saying:
I testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone, there are no partners for Him. And I testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. O Allah! Make me among the repentant, and make me among those who purify themselves.أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، وأشهد أن محمدًا عبده ورسوله، اللهم اجعلني من التوابين واجعلني من المتطهرين
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 55Da'if (Darussalam)
after he has left the bathroom.
