Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I hope you will pause with the noble verse in the saying of the Truth, (Blessed and Exalted is He): (And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty)
Answer:
Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad. This is among the things by which Allah advised His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and it is a great advice: (And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty), meaning: persist in worship until death comes to you. A Muslim does not abandon worship and say, "I have reached a level where I no longer need worship." The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) was commanded by Allah to persist in worship until he dies. There are those who say that if one reaches a certain level of knowledge, there is no need for worship, such as the statement of the extremists among the Sufis. "And worship your Lord" is a command from Allah to His Messenger, and it is a command for the Ummah by extension. (And worship your Lord) means: persist in His worship until death descends upon you. And in the hadith: There is no limit to the work of a Muslim other than death.
