What is the meaning of the hadith: “No one who lets his garment hang below the ankles will enter Paradise”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In the hadith: “No one who lets his garment hang below the ankles will enter Paradise,” what is the meaning of this hadith, and does it mean that he will not enter Paradise even if he is a Muslim?

Answer:
I have not seen the hadith in this exact wording, but there are many hadiths regarding the prohibition of letting the garment hang below the ankles. Among them is: “Whoever drags his garment out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him,” and: “Whatever is below the ankles is in the Fire.” His entering the Fire is in the category of warning; he enters it as a warning and is punished therein according to the measure of his sin, but he will not remain in it forever. He is considered among the sinners of those who affirm the oneness of Allah, who are under the will of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He). If Allah wills, He will forgive them, and if He wills, He will punish them according to their sins, and then they will be brought out of the Fire.
