Supplication for the Preservation of the Qur'an

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 16339 )
Q 2: I wish to memorize the Qur'an but have not been able to. I have heard that there are certain verses, along with some supplications and prayers, that serve as a means to facilitate this. May you please provide me with information?
A 2: There are no specific verses or prayers designated for the memorization of the Qur'an. Rather, the Muslim must strive and be diligent in memorizing the Noble Qur'an. Allah the Exalted said:
And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ
[Al-Qamar 54:17]
. Therefore, whoever strives to memorize the Qur'an, Allah will assist him and make it easy for him. As for designating specific verses or prayers for this purpose, there is no evidence for it. However, he should supplicate to Allah frequently, asking Him to help him memorize the Qur'an, for Allah is Near and responsive to supplication. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
