You are a partner with them in this supplication

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner says: I seek forgiveness for the Muslims in all my prayers, and I say: “O Allah, forgive all the Muslim men and women, the believers and the believing women, the living among them and the dead. You are near and You answer supplications.” Do I have a good deed for each one of them?

Answer:
The answer: Yes, you are a partner with them in this supplication if Allah accepts it. In fact, you are more deserving of it, and you have included the Muslims with you. This is a good and prescribed thing, that a person supplicates for himself and for the believers and the believing women. (And seek forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and the believing women). You begin with your parents and seek forgiveness for them. (And say: My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up when I was small).
