The obligation upon us toward our soldiers stationed at the borders

Question:
Our valiant soldiers who are stationed at the borders and offer their lives in protecting this country and its security, what is your word to them, Your Eminence?

Answer:
Answer: We call upon Allah for them to be steadfast and to receive the great reward that He promised for those who are stationed at the borders of the Islamic lands, who spend the night guarding this country: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Two eyes will not be touched by the Fire: an eye that wept out of fear of Allah, and an eye that spent the night guarding in the cause of Allah." So they should rejoice in this great glad tidings, and that their vigilance is counted with Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), and that Allah the Exalted protects them from the Fire just as they protected the society from these dangers, and that they are performing a great obligation. We must call upon Allah for them, and we must also seek forgiveness for their deceased, and for those who were killed, we should have mercy on them and call for them for mercy and forgiveness, because they are defending our country, and we hope for them to be martyrs with Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He); that they be martyrs in His sight (Glorified and Exalted is He). The presenter: May Allah grant success to our rulers and increase them in success and correctness in their service to Islam and Muslims in this blessed land.
