Sunnah and innovated divorce.

Question:
Some people are unaware of the instances of divorce. What is Sunnah divorce and what is innovated divorce?

Answer:
Answer: Sunnah divorce is that which conforms to the Sunnah, and innovated divorce is that which contradicts the Sunnah. Sunnah divorce is when he divorces her with a single pronouncement during a period of purity in which he did not have intercourse with her, and he leaves her until her waiting period expires. Innovated divorce is considered innovated in the number, meaning he divorces her three times with a single phrase; this is innovated in the wording and the number. Or it is innovated in the timing, such as when he divorces her while she is menstruating, or when he divorces her while she is experiencing post-natal bleeding, or when he divorces her during a period of purity in which he had intercourse with her and her pregnancy has not become apparent. All of this is innovated in the timing or in the number.
