Q2: What is the Shari'ah ruling regarding the rulings on the Sunnah and Bid'ah forms of divorce?
A2: The Sunnah form of divorce is: to divorce her with a single pronouncement while she is pregnant, or during a period of purity in which he did not have intercourse with her. The Bid'ah form is: to divorce her three times with a single phrase, or with multiple phrases, or to divorce her once or more while she is menstruating, in post-natal bleeding, or during a period of purity in which he had intercourse with her.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
