What is the meaning of "Hajj is 'Arafah"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
And he asks about the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Hajj is 'Arafah"?

Answer:
"Hajj is 'Arafah" means that the greatest pillar of Hajj is 'Arafah, not that the entire Hajj is in 'Arafah. For 'Arafah is one single pillar among the pillars of Hajj; standing at 'Arafah is one single pillar among the pillars of Hajj, but it is the most important of them. It is like his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): "Supplication is worship," meaning that supplication is the greatest of the types of worship.
