What are the best acts of worship by which a servant draws near to his Lord?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What are the best acts of worship by which a servant draws near to his Lord, and for which good deeds and rewards are recorded for him?

Answer:
Answer: Allah the Exalted says in the Qudsi Hadith: “And My servant does not draw near to Me with anything more beloved to Me than what I have made obligatory upon him.” Therefore, the obligatory acts (fara'id) are more beloved to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) than the voluntary acts (nawafil), and the voluntary acts are complements. “And My servant continues to draw near to Me with voluntary acts until I love him,” as in the hadith. So first come the obligatory acts, then the voluntary acts.
