Do I repeat supplication, and what are the obstacles to its being answered?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If I supplicate and it is not answered, should I repeat the supplication, O honorable Shaykh, and repent? And what are the obstacles to the answer?

Answer:
Answer: Yes, repeat the supplication and do not despair. Perhaps the delay in the answer is for your benefit. Repeat it, and do not say, "I supplicated and supplicated, but it was not answered for me." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "One of you will be answered as long as he does not hasten." He says, "I supplicated and supplicated, but it was not answered for me." So increase in supplication and continue supplicating, for Allah is near and responsive. The causes for the acceptance of supplication are known, among them is eating lawful food, as in the hadith: "The one who stretches out his hands in travel, disheveled and dusty, saying, 'O my Lord, O my Lord,' while his food is haram, his drink is haram, his clothing is haram, and he is nourished with haram, how will he be answered?" So among the obstacles to the acceptance of supplication is eating haram and being nourished by it. Also, among its meanings is what we mentioned: if they hasten and say, "I supplicated and supplicated, but it was not answered for me," and they abandon supplication, this is among the obstacles to the acceptance of supplication. "One of you will be answered as long as he does not hasten."
