Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The Chosen One (peace and blessings be upon him) conveyed the message, fulfilled the trust, and gave sincere advice to the community. He was patient and persevered in calling to Allah. How do we take and benefit from the lessons of the Chosen One (peace and blessings be upon him) in his patience in calling to Allah?

Answer:
Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions. Allah the Exalted said: “Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example,” meaning a model to follow. We follow the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in his patience, his deeds, his calling, and in all his matters (peace and blessings be upon him), except for the matters specific to him (peace and blessings be upon him) that are exclusive to him. Everything else is part of the legislation in which we follow the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). In doing so, there is great reward, abundant recompense, and a guarantee of the validity of the worship. Therefore, we do not follow anyone else, because following anyone else is an innovation. However, following him (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Sunnah and is obligatory upon us.
