Answer: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions. As for what follows: The expansion of the chest, which is its widening, is a blessing from Allah (Mighty and Majestic), especially for the one who calls to Allah. For this reason, when Allah sent Musa (peace be upon him), the first thing he called for was: (He said: My Lord, expand for me my chest, and ease for me my matter). The expansion of the chest has causes, the greatest of which is the guidance of Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He): (So whoever Allah wills to guide, He expands his chest for Islam, and whoever He wills to misguide, He makes his chest narrow and constricted, as if he were climbing up into the sky). Second: The expansion of the chest through the remembrance of Allah (Mighty and Majestic). He (Exalted and Majestic is He) said: (Those who believe and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah. Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest. Those who believe and do righteous deeds – for them is reward and a good return). As for the causes of happiness, Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) said: (Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer – We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward in accordance with the best of what they used to do). Righteous action is a cause of happiness in this world and the Hereafter, and happiness lies in the obedience of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and the mindfulness of Allah. By your life, happiness is not the accumulation of wealth, but the pious one is the happy one, and the mindfulness of Allah is the best provision for the store, and with Allah is an increase for the pious.
