The ruling on making a condition for the one in i'tikaf (spiritual retreat in the mosque)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q572: The questioner asks: Is it permissible for me to perform i'tikaf (spiritual retreat in the mosque) on the condition that I pray tarawih (the Ramadan night prayer) in another mosque, in order to listen to that imam's recitation?
A572: It is permissible, but it is contrary to what is best. The best is to pray tarawih (the Ramadan night prayer) in the mosque where you are performing i'tikaf (spiritual retreat in the mosque). This is the best, so that you remain in the mosque, and your staying is in the mosque where you are performing i'tikaf (spiritual retreat in the mosque).
