Ruling on specifying a particular supplication and persisting in it

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q221: The questioner says: After I finish the prayer, I make the Prophetic supplication and say: “O Allah, accept our prayer, purify our hearts, have mercy on our parents, forgive our deceased, relieve our distress, provide us with good, and forgive the believing men and women.” I make this supplication after I finish the prayer every time. Is this supplication permissible or not? Please inform us; may Allah reward you.
A221: As for sticking to this supplication and persisting in it, this is not prescribed, and this has not been reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for this occasion. However, if you make it a few times and do not commit to it permanently, there is no harm in that, if Allah wills.
