Ruling on performing a precautionary prayer to compensate for deficiencies in previous prayers

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q147: The questioner says: Sometimes during prayer, I experience distraction of the mind and a loss of humility. Is it permissible for me to perform a precautionary prayer to compensate for deficiencies in previous prayers?
A147: The precautionary prayer is not prescribed, but you must strive to bring your heart and humility into your prayer, and seek refuge in Allah
from the accursed Shaytan at the beginning of the prayer, and in the opening supplication you recite after the takbir of ihram. You should try to bring your heart and mind to the prayer and understand the prayer. This is what is obligatory for you. If some worries or thoughts occur to you, and then you drive them away and return to bringing your presence to the prayer, then this does not harm you, if Allah wills. However, performing a precautionary prayer is not prescribed. As for the regular voluntary prayers, a Muslim should increase in them, both the regular ones and the non-regular ones, of what is prescribed; because the voluntary prayer completes the obligatory prayer. If there is a deficiency in the obligatory prayer, a Muslim should have a share of the voluntary prayers and strive to perform the voluntary prayers associated with the obligatory ones, before or after them; because these voluntary prayers complete the obligatory ones if there is a deficiency in them. As for repeating the prayer, such as praying Zuhr twice, the obligatory prayer is not repeated unless a condition of it is disrupted, or something of its obligations is left intentionally. If one leaves something of the conditions of prayer, or the pillars of prayer, or leaves an obligation of it intentionally, then it is repeated. But if it is merely that thoughts, illusions, or whispers occurred in it, this does not necessitate repeating it.
