Q: As soon as I arrive home before the Fajr adhan, I am unable to sit down except after masturbating in some way. However, this has happened to me repeatedly before the Fajr prayer, and I do not realize that the Fajr adhan has been called until I have not yet finished quelling my desire. Worse still, after finishing, I sleep through the Fajr prayer, although I was continuing my fast. I have masturbated at this time on twenty nights of the nights of Ramadan. My question is: Is it obligatory for me to make up the fast for these days? If the answer is yes, what is the method for making them up? I inform you that, by the praise of Allah, after being guided, I have left this matter permanently. I ask you to inform me. I ask Allah the High, the Majestic, to place everything you provide for the Ummah of Islam and the Muslims in the scales of your deeds.
A: The masturbation that occurred on your part after the dawn has broken invalidates the fast, and it is obligatory for you to make up the number of days on which the masturbation occurred after the dawn, along with repentance to Allah the Exalted.
