Ruling on performing the 'Isha' prayer behind one who is praying tarawih

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q400: The questioner asks: How do I complete my 'Isha' prayer if I join an imam
who is praying tarawih, and the imam does not sit until he has completed four rak'ahs?

A400: This is an error. It is not permissible for the imam to pray or combine four rak'ahs in the tarawih prayer with a single taslim, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Prayer by night and day should consist of pairs of rak'ahs.صلاة الليل والنهار مثنى مثنى
Sunan Abi Dawud 1295Sahih (Al-Albani)
So when he stands for the third rak'ah, you should separate from him and complete your prayer.
