The ruling on being lazy about performing the witr prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q270: The questioner says: If I leave the witr prayer out of laziness, not forgetfulness, what is it obligatory for me to do?
A270: You make it up during the day, but you make it even in number. So if you are making up three rak'ahs, you make up four rak'ahs with two taslims. Likewise, if you are praying eleven rak'ahs, you pray twelve rak'ahs, every two rak'ahs with a taslim. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did this, and it is made up from after the sun rises until after it reaches the middle of the sky. All of this is the time for making up the witr of the night.
