A2: The method of feeding the poor is to give each poor person half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg) of food, that is, one and a half kilograms for each poor person. If he gathers the poor people and provides them with lunch or dinner, that suffices him according to the correct opinion, but he must fulfill the number specified by the Shari'ah, which is sixty poor people.
