The 'Aqiqah for a Deceased Child

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa No. ( 17782 )
Q1: In past years, four of my children passed away, both boys and girls. I was unable to complete the 'Aqiqah for them because our living conditions at that time did not allow it, and we did not have the ability to do even one. Now, praise be to Allah, good has increased and Allah has bestowed His blessings upon us, so to Him be praise and gratitude. Is it permissible for me to complete it for them now, or not? And how should the 'Aqiqah be performed? Is it for one child or two, or how?
A: It is prescribed for you to slaughter the 'Aqiqah for your deceased children: two sheep for a boy
and one sheep for a girl, which is sufficient for the 'Id sacrifice. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
