The man who has two families, each family in a house, is one sacrificial animal sufficient for them?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 19198 )
Q1: I have two families, and each family is in a house, but these two houses are adjacent, and nothing separates them except a wall, and sometimes we gather in one house to eat. My question is: Is one sacrificial animal valid for everyone? Or is it necessary for each house to have a sacrificial animal?
A1: It is the Sunnah (recommended practice) for a man to suffice with one sheep for the sacrifice for himself and his household, and what indicates this is what was narrated by 'Ammarah ibn 'Abd Allah who said: I heard 'Ata ibn
Yasar
say: I asked Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) how the sacrifices were done in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: The man would sacrifice a sheep for himself and his household, and they would eat and feed others, until people began to compete in generosity, so it became as you see. It was narrated by al-Tirmidhi in his (Jami'), see (Al-'Ardh al-Ahduthi, vol. 6, p. 304). And since you have two families because you are married to two wives, and each wife is in a separate house, they are all included as your household, and one sheep is sufficient for you; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sacrificed a ram for himself and his household, and the houses of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) were multiple, and each house of his wives was separate from the other. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
