Q4: Is it permissible for us to slaughter the hady of tamattu' and qiran in al-Sharai' , or is it obligatory to slaughter it within the boundaries of the Haram ? We are located approximately one kilometer outside the boundaries of the Haram . Is it permissible for the husband or wife to go to al-Sharai' before completing the tawaf al-ifadah? And is al-Sharai', which was formerly known as the village of al-Mujahideen, considered part of the Haram or the halal? We ask for clarification on this, as the rulings of Hajj and 'Umrah are related to it, and there is much disagreement among students of knowledge in our area. May Allah reward you with the best reward.
A4: It is obligatory to slaughter the hady of tamattu' and qiran within the boundaries of the Haram , which are the markers erected in all directions. What is inside them, on the side of Makkah , is part of the Haram , and what is outside them is not part of the Haram . There is no harm in the pilgrim going to al-Sharai' before the tawaf al-ifadah out of necessity. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
