The sermon for the one in ihram
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question: From fatwa number ( 21359 )
Q1: Is it permissible for the family to propose marriage for their son while he is on Hajj ?
A1 : It is permissible for the father or anyone else whom the person appoints as an agent to propose marriage on his behalf, whether the person being proposed to is on Hajj or not; because there is no prohibition in that, and because the one prohibited from proposing marriage is the one in ihram, not his agent. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
