Q5: I heard from some of the brothers that there is a hadith stating that if one performs the first exit from the state of ihram, and then the sun sets on him before he performs the Tawaf of Ifadah, then he must put on his ihram and return to the state of ihram as he was. Please clarify this.
Vol. 5 : The hadith you mentioned is the hadith of Umm Salama . Al-Nawawi and others have reported the consensus on not acting upon it, and this is due to the weakness of its chain of narration. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
