The first question of Fatwa No. ( 17262 )
Q1: Is it permissible for my family in the Kingdom to give charity on my behalf from their own money, since there are no poor people here?
A1 : Yes, it is permissible for your family in the Kingdom to give charity on your behalf from your money with your permission, or from their money absolutely, whether there are poor people in the country where you reside or not, except for zakat al-fitr, where it is better to give it in the country where you reside, or in the surrounding area if there are poor people there. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
