Collecting donations and announcing the names of donors

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 17886 )
Q2: We collect donations in our village mosque, but we announce the names
of those who donated, saying: So-and-so donated such-and-such
. Does this announcement diminish the reward of the donor?

A2 : If the intention in mentioning the donor's name is a public benefit, such as encouraging people to donate and spend in the cause of Allah, and there is no harm to the donor, then it is permissible. Allah the Exalted said:
If you disclose your charitable expenditures, they are good; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, it is better for you, and He will remove from you some of your misdeeds [thereby]. And Allah, with what you do, is [fully] Acquainted.
[Al-Baqarah 2:271]
. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
