She left the abortion fee and fasted while the blood was still coming

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of fatwa number ( 20799 )
Q1: I had an abortion ten days before Ramadan, and I was in my third month of pregnancy. When Ramadan came and the blood was still coming from the effects of the abortion, I fasted on the basis that this blood was irregular non-menstrual bleeding, knowing that the pregnancy had not completed three months. What is the ruling on this?
A1: First: Abortion is not permissible except for a dire necessity determined by a reliable medical committee, which issues an approved fatwa; because preserving the pregnancy and maintaining it is required by the Shari'ah. Second: The fasting you performed after the abortion while the blood was still coming is an incorrect action if the pregnancy had reached eighty-one days or more; because the blood in this case is considered post-natal bleeding. Therefore, it is obligatory for you to make up the fasts you fasted while the blood was coming. However, if the duration of the pregnancy was less than eighty-one days, then your fasting is valid. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
