The Ruling on the Blood of Miscarriage

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Her second question is: If a woman miscarries, what is the ruling on the blood of miscarriage? Is its ruling like that of post-natal bleeding or like that of menstruation? And what is its maximum and minimum duration?

Answer:
If the miscarriage occurs after the child has taken form and a sign of humanity is found in it, such as a leg, head, or hand, even if it is hidden, then it is post-natal bleeding, and its ruling is the ruling of post-natal bleeding. She must remain [in the state of impurity] until she becomes pure, even if it is up to forty days, because forty days is the limit of post-natal bleeding; this is the limit.
If she becomes pure before that, for twenty days or a month, she takes a bath, prays, fasts, and becomes lawful to her husband. If the blood continues with her, she leaves off prayer and fasting, and she does not become lawful to her husband until the forty days are completed. When the forty days are completed, she takes a bath, prays, fasts, and becomes lawful to her husband, even if the blood is still with her, because it is then blood of corruption. The limit of post-natal bleeding, and its maximum, is forty days, so whatever exceeds it is considered blood of corruption. She prays and fasts after the bath, becomes lawful to her husband, and takes precautions with cotton and the like, and performs the ablution for every prayer, like the woman with irregular bleeding and the one with incontinence.
As for if she becomes pure for less than that, for twenty days, or fifteen, or thirty, or something like that, then she takes a bath, prays, and fasts, even if she is in the middle of the forty days, and she also becomes lawful to her husband.
As for if this miscarriage did not take form, but she miscarried blood or a piece of flesh in which there is no clear human creation, then this is considered blood of corruption. She prays and fasts like the one with incontinence, and performs the ablution for the time of every prayer when the time enters. She considers herself like the woman with irregular bleeding, and like the one with incontinence. If it is difficult for her, she prays the midday and afternoon prayers together, and the sunset and night prayers together, because of the blood; the abundance of the blood.
The point is: that in this state, she is like the woman with irregular bleeding, and like the one with incontinence. She prays and fasts and becomes lawful to her husband, because it is not post-natal bleeding until that blood stops from her, and she performs the ablution for the time of every prayer as mentioned before. Yes.
