Fatwa No. ( 21255 )
Q: You know, may Allah guide you, that our country, which Allah has protected, is a stronghold of Islam and one of its monuments. Circles for memorizing the Noble Quran and the pure Prophetic Sunnah are widespread in its regions, distinguished by their sound methodology and their upbringing of students in the correct Salafi creed. They need the support of benefactors and the wealthy. My question, O honorable Shaykh: If I take on the responsibility of supporting these circles and providing them with money and status, such as bearing the salary of a Quran teacher or prizes
the students, or I contribute to some of the other circle's needs, such as providing transportation for the students or building a headquarters, and so on. Do I fall under the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever leads to good, he is like the one who does it.الدال على الخير كفاعله
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2670Sahih (Darussalam)
and his saying:
The best among you is he who learns and teaches the Qur'an.خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه
Sunan Abi Dawud 1452Sahih (Al-Albani)
and that the reward of these students, whom I was the cause of their learning the Qur'an or the Sunnah, reaches me? Please give us a ruling, may Allah reward you, and may Allah reward you with good, and may He benefit Islam and the Muslims with your knowledge.

A: You are included in the general meaning of the saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him):
One who guides to something good has a reward similar to that of its doer.من دل على خير فله مثل أجر فاعله
Sahih Muslim 1893a
narrated by Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on him), and the hadith:
The best among you is he who learns and teaches the Qur'an.خيركم من تعلم القرآن وعلمه
Sunan Abi Dawud 1452Sahih (Al-Albani)
narrated by Imam al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi (may Allah have mercy on them). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
