The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 16843 )
Q 5: A man works in France, and he has a daughter whose situation was not pleasing. To be frank, she left her father’s house and went to the French authorities and told them what she told them. He and his daughter went to the court, and she stayed with them for months. In the end, by the will of Allah, he took her back, took her to the country, and left her with one of his brothers. He was providing for her. After a few months, she left from
her uncle’s place, meaning she left the city entirely. Then she returned with a boy, and he is a child born of unlawful intercourse. Her uncle did not meet her, nor did any of the relatives. Her father said to her: If you want to remain in my custody, I will send you your maintenance and you will be with your uncle, but I do not like the boy. She does not want to give up her son, and her father will not accept her with her son. What is your answer to this? Is there a sin on the father? And what is the solution to the problem?
A 5: The aforementioned people must protect their daughter, command her to repent to Allah for what happened from her, and hasten to marry her to a righteous man who will protect her. As for the boy, he is her son, and they should strive to raise him and reform him. And Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
