Covering the mouth during prayer to avoid a bad smell

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: If I pray next to a person from whom a bad smell emanates, whether from his body or his clothes, and in this case I covered my mouth with my scarf until the end of the prayer, is my prayer valid? I ask you to issue a ruling on this. May Allah reward you with good.
A: There is nothing wrong with what you did to avoid the bad smell. The default ruling is that covering the mouth in prayer without need is disliked, because it is imitating the Jews in their worship, but the dislike is removed when there is a need.
