Ruling on breaking the prayer to move away from a bad smell

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner, who used the initials (A. A.) as a code for his name, says: Your Eminence, what is the ruling on breaking the prayer and moving to another place if there is a person with a bad smell next to me, especially since I might miss a pillar of the prayer, which is tranquility? We ask Your Eminence to answer.

Answer:
There is no blame in that. I say: there is no blame in breaking it out of necessity due to the presence of a bad smell that makes a person not humble in his prayer and not tranquil. So if he breaks it to go to another side, there is no blame in that, if Allah wills. Knowing that the one who has a bad smell does not pray with the people; it is obligatory for him to pray in his house if he has a bad smell, such as excessive body odor that harms people, or excessive armpit odor. It is obligatory for him to treat this matter until it goes away, and he has no right to harm people. Or if he ate garlic or onions, he has no right to attend the mosque; it is obligatory for him to stay away from the mosque until that bad smell goes away. Because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):
He prohibited one who ate garlic or onions from approaching the mosqueنهى من أكل ثومًا، أو بصلًا أن يقرب المسجد
And he ordered that whoever did that be taken out of the mosque. So if he has a bad smell other than garlic and onions, such as severe mouth odor that harms those around him, he may leave him and move to another direction. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
