He gave his son a salary in exchange for his work

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: I was employed in a government position, and I have since retired. One of my sons was working with me. Allah has blessed us with a large farm, and we are active in buying and selling real estate, as well as construction and leasing. Due to my advanced age, I asked my son, whose name is Bandar, to resign, and he complied, resigning from his government job. I then tasked him with the aforementioned activities. He has older brothers who are employed and younger brothers. All of his older brothers manage their own salaries and income. Therefore, I decided to give my son Bandar, whom I have tasked with my private affairs on the farm and elsewhere, a monthly salary in exchange for this work, amounting to six thousand riyals, to equal the salary from which he resigned. I am asking for your ruling on this matter. May Allah preserve you, bless you, and make your knowledge beneficial.
A: It is permissible for you to give your son a monthly salary in exchange for his management of your affairs;
because this falls under the category of a lease or hire contract, especially since you gave him the amount of the salary from which he resigned, which he is receiving.
