The Gift to the Son of the Son

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: There is a man who wants to give a quarter of what he owns to his son’s son (his grandson), who is still alive, as a reward for his kindness to him, knowing that this man’s sons are alive. What is the ruling on this gift? May Allah reward you with good.
A: It is permissible for the questioner to give a portion of his wealth to his son’s son, to the exclusion of his other sons and grandsons, especially since this gift to his son’s son was a reward for his kindness to him.
