Q: If I pray 'Isha' and tarawih in Ramadan and outside of Ramadan,
then I perform witr before going to sleep, and then I wake up for tahajjud in the last part of the night, do I repeat the witr or what should I do, given the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sahih Muslim 751b Please advise us, may Allah reward you?
A: It is not prescribed for you to repeat the witr, due to the hadithJami` at-Tirmidhi 470Sahih (Darussalam) If you wish to perform voluntary prayer, it is permissible for you to do so, but without repeating the witr. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
