The Etiquette of Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q4: A questioner says, "I see some sins, even among my relatives, such as delaying the prayer when there is no dire necessity, speaking ill of people, and supporting the Rafidah. Then I get upset and distressed.
Some of them say that I am being overly strict and severe, which increases my agitation. What is the ruling in this matter? Am I being severe in the advice I give them? What is the ruling in this matter?

A4: Enjoining good and forbidding evil, and advising the Muslims, are among the best deeds of a Muslim. Among its etiquettes is that it should be done with gentleness and softness, avoiding agitation and severity as much as possible. Allah the Exalted said in describing the master of callers (peace and blessings be upon him):
So by mercy from Allah, [O Muhammad], you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you.
[Ali 'Imran 3:159]
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
`Allah is Kind and loves kindness, and He rewards for kindness in a way that He does not reward for harshness.`إن الله رفيق يحب الرفق ويعطي على الرفق ما لا يعطي على العنف
