Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of the fatwa number ( 19576 )
Q4: What is the ruling if there is a point in the prayer where the prostration for forgetfulness is prescribed, and the imam forgets to prostrate for forgetfulness, then turns toward the people and they inform him that he forgot the prostration? Is it prescribed for him to face the qiblah and perform it?
A4: If the imam leaves the prostration for forgetfulness out of forgetfulness, then remembers after turning toward the people, he should face the qiblah, say takbir, and prostrate twice, and the ma'mumun should prostrate with him, then he should say taslim. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
