The first question of fatwa number ( 16428 )
Q1: If the prostration for forgetfulness becomes obligatory upon the imam and he forgets it until the
worshippers have left, what is the ruling? ?
A1: If the imam forgets the prostration for forgetfulness, he is obligated to perform it if the time is still near. As for the followers who left the mosque and did not know, nothing is required of them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
