The Obligation of the Prostration for Forgetfulness

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of the fatwa numbered ( 11071 )
Q4: A man says: If the imam forgets during the prayer, it is permissible for him not to perform the prostration for forgetfulness. What is your opinion on that?
A1: What was told to you about the permissibility of the imam leaving the prostration for forgetfulness is not correct. Rather, the prostration for forgetfulness is obligatory upon the imam and others if he forgets in his prayer by leaving an obligatory act or doing a prohibited act; because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did it and ordered it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
