Converting Tamattu' to Ifrad After Entering Ihram

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: I am a woman who intended to perform Hajj. When I reached the miqat, I entered the state of ihram for Hajj as a mutamatti'ah. After passing the miqat by several paces, my companions informed me that they were performing ifrad. Immediately, I changed my Hajj from tamattu' to ifrad following my companions. This happened in two Hajj pilgrimages, knowing that I had performed Hajj several times as a mutamatti'ah without wearing a veil, praise be to Allah. I ask your eminence to issue a ruling on this matter. May Allah preserve you.
A: It is not permissible for you to convert tamattu' to ifrad, for you would then be a muqarinah, because you entered the state of ihram for Hajj before the tawaf of 'Umrah. You are obligated to offer the hady of qiran for both Hajj pilgrimages; for each Hajj, a fidyah is required.
