Q: I inform you that I study at one of the private institutes for teaching foreign languages, and the class times are from (6-8) and from (8-10), meaning that prayer falls during the classes , then at seven o’clock we pray Maghrib, and at nine o’clock we pray ‘Isha’, which is about half an hour after the mosques have finished, and this phenomenon is widespread
very much in the private institutes, so those in charge of them do not observe the prayer times, and they say: that praying in congregation at the institute is sufficient, knowing that the institute where I study is directly adjacent to the mosque. Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good: do we pray as I mentioned, or do we file a complaint against the institute to adjust the schedule? Knowing that there is no necessity that requires leaving the congregational prayer in the mosque, and is there a word for the officials of these institutes?
A: The practical and verbal Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was to perform the prayer in congregation in the mosque, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to burn the houses of those who lagged behind it with fire, and his successors and the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and those who followed them proceeded to perform it in congregation in the mosques, and it is authentic from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Bulugh al-Maram 2:308, and it is also established that a blind man said to him: , and in a narration he said to him: Sunan Abi Dawud 552Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani), and thus it becomes clear that it is obligatory for those in the institute, whether teachers, employees, or students, to perform the prayer in congregation in the adjacent mosque, acting upon the Sunnah, fulfilling the obligation, blocking the means to deceiving oneself to lag behind performing the prayer in the mosques, and distancing oneself from imitating the people of hypocrisy, and the fact that praying in the institute realizes a benefit for the work
and preserves the presence of its members is not an accepted legal excuse. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.

Whoever hears the call for prayer and and does not come (to the mosque for prayer), his prayer will not be accepted from him, unless he has a (legitimate) excuse.

So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: (Do you hear the call to prayer?) He said: Yes. He said: (Then respond
I do not find any permission for you.
